1. Talk on 2nd December  by Dr  Sabu Thomas (Prof. School    of Chemical Sciences ,Mahatma Gandhi University),on the  topic "  Polymer Nanocomposites  ".

2. Talk on 21st   January by Dr Suresh V Vettor (Prof. Dept of  Physics,   St.Dominic's college ,Kanjirapally)  on  the topic "Recent Developements  in Superconductivity."

3. Talk on 18th   February by Dr K K John ( Prof,Dept of Ecnomics,St .Thomas college , Palai ) on  the topic  " The Impact of Global Recession on Indian Ecnomy."

4. Talk on 5th   March  by Dr K K Jose( Prof. Dept of  Statistics ,  St .Thomas college Palai)on  the topic  " Stochastic Process."

EVENTS AND CELEBRATIONS-(2008-2009)

1. National Science Day celebrated on27th February was sponsered by State Council For Science And Technology.Prof S  Shivadas was the guest of the day.An Inter-school Science Quiz was also organsied.

2. Maths Day was celebrated on 5th March  along with the  4th Issac Newton Lecture talk.An Inter -collegeiate Quiz competition was also also organised.

Issac Newton Lecture  Series- (2009-10 )

1. The first talk of the academic year was on 18th  Semptember by Dr T Muralidharan Nair (Deputy Director ,CFSC ,Manjeri) on the topic "Recent Trends In Polymers And Polymeric Materials".

2. Talk on 29th November  Dr C S Menon(Director ,School of Pure AndApplied Physics,MahatmaGandhi University ,Kottayam) on the topic" LHC-An Experiment to the Orgin of The Universe".

STAFF  DEVELOPEMENT PROGRAM

An  SDP  was organised from 17th  August 2009  to  22nd August 2009  on the topic "Relevance of  Mathematics in Engineering." Invited speakers and their topics are listed below.

1. Dr Soney C George presented a paper entitled  "Mechinacal properties of Natural Rubber / Clay Nanocomposites "  in the seminar Nano-09.

2. Dr Soney C George presented a  research paper on Synthesis,Characterization and properties of NR clay and ENR clay Nanocomposites in the first International conference on nanostructural materials & nanocomposites.

3. Dr Soney C George presented a research project on developement of Novel polyinyl alcohol Nanocomposite membranefor the pervaporation seperation of aqueous-organic  liquid mixtures  at A.I.C.T.E ,NewDelhi.

4. Dr Sreejith K Pisharady  presented a paper entitled  "The Optical Energy Band Gap and The Dielectric constants of Vaccum Deposited Anthrance" in the State level workshop on   Advanced Quantum Mechanics at K.E college,Mannanam.
